Day 3: Grace (and a few flowers)

Today, I’m thankful for:

1. Continued grace. Grace, for every day. Grace, even when I’m worried that I won’t be able to get everything done in the time frame I have.

2. Little brothers who love me to read with them.

3. Younger brothers who fix my appliances when they get broken.

4. Cloudy days with bits of blue showing through at times.

5. Reminders of what God is doing in other parts of the world. Today at church we saw several videos about how God is working in India in the lives of children. And then tonight we watched another one here at home. Wow, His plan is so immense and marvellous!

6. My mum, who cooks amazing meals.

7. My dad, who loves to have Bible studies with us some Sunday afternoons. Although I’d rather do other things sometimes, it’s always worth it in the end to study and share for a while. :)

Update on NaNo: So far, it’s been going very well. I wasn’t sure at all this morning how today would go, since we’re usually gone all day at church. I didn’t get anything written this morning, so I wondered if I’d be able to write anything at all. But God is very faithful. :)

I hadn’t really had a plan for today, other than knowing that I wanted to expound a bit more on the first part of the story before moving on. After praying about it and using a tip from this very handy article, I was able (by the grace of God) to come up with something that both adds to the story and makes the first section a bit bigger (which is really good!).

So this afternoon, I was able to write another 1,514 words in just under an hour, I believe. That brings my total word count up to 6,559 so far—praise the Lord! The word count (1,514) is pretty huge to me considering that it’s Sunday and considering the fact that I started writing about 6 pm. So yes, tonight I’m very thankful for His continued love and leading in this story—and I’m looking forward to what tomorrow will be like!

P.S. I wrote this last night, but didn’t have time to post it until this morning. I’ll post today’s later on.
