Answered Prayers and Miracles

Today’s subject:

Answered prayers and miracles.

  1. Dad being saved from drowning in June when his truck rolled away.
  2. Joe not having any brain injuries from when he broke his skull in June.
  3. Nate’s fingers healing in October—they got majorly slammed in a door, and the way he was holding them and acting we wondered if they weren’t broken. But, praise the Lord, they weren’t!
  4. When we were going to the States in March, we had one very tight connection. It was in Chicago, and we had 30 min. there. We had to get from one gate to another, and we were really praying that we could make it. Thankfully, our flight from LA was five minutes early, and so we had a little more time to get there before they took off! As soon as we were allowed, we stood up in the plane’s aisle, and tried to get off as soon as possible. Then we almost ran! But we got there—just as they were giving the first boarding call. Praise the Lord!
  5. Even with all the floods and strong winds we’ve experienced this past winter, no one in our family has been hurt at all. That’s a miracle.
  6. Each year, we try to find some orphan lambs to adopt. This year, the Lord blessed us with two! Thank you, Jesus!
  7. Last year, we harvested some corn and dried the seed. Then we did a germination test, and 1 seed out of 10 (I think, it might have been more) sprouted. Seth prayed when we planted it, and the Lord helped it to grow! And it grew again this year, as well. That’s an answered prayer. :)

Writing has gone well today. I got 2,004 words written. Praise the Lord! That brings it up to 75% of the way through—I’ll be glad when this is over, but I’m enjoying getting this story written. It’s fun to weave all the bits together, although I’m seeing more and more that this is definitely a first draft. There are lots of things I’ll end up changing in the end. But I’m going to write “The End” before I start editing! :)
