2nd November—friends and sunshine

Things I’m thankful for today:

  1. Golden sunshine at the end of a warm day.
  2. A baby brother who moos (with his mouth pinched tight!) at any cow or horse he sees.
  3. Friends. We had a homeschool “concert” today, where some of our family sang a couple songs in front of 50-70 people. Others played musical instruments or did a skit. Fun!
  4. Warm spring days—promises of a warm summer!
  5. The ability to sing. I think my favourite song at the moment is either “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” or “There Were Ninety and Nine”.
  6. Fellow writers. I got to talk to Tiffany today for a little bit, and that was special. :)
  7. Good books to read.

Writing today went very well, although we were gone for most of the afternoon. I think it helped that I didn’t have any school to do this morning. :) By God’s grace, I was able to write another 2,525 words today, 5,045 all together so far. I wasn’t quite sure how today would go since I didn’t know much about what I would write, but I was able to write and keep the story going (even if it isn’t the most fast-paced ever!). I’m looking forward to seeing how I do tomorrow. :)

I took some pictures today of the flowers around our place, so maybe I’ll try to get them up tomorrow. For now, I’m going to bed.

What are you thankful for today?
~Esther
