Wednesday, 21 March 2012 (Purim Meal)

(I'm sorry. I would have gotten this done Sunday, but you probably know what happened. Nathan was born! So I've been too busy to post. But here it is.)

School went well today, I did:
  1. Math; 98% on my final test!
  2. Made a traditional Purim meal. That included:
  • Hamentashen, a sort-of cookie/biscuit thing, square, with apple butter in the middle
  • Roast Duck (traditionally turkey, had to substitute)
  • Chickpea and Noodle Soup with Persian Herbs, a YUMMY all-vege soup
  • Spinach, Egg, and Onion Salad (to replace the traditional Sugared Almond salad, that would've cost too much!)
  • Challah Bread, oh, yum!
  • Kraplach, to go with the soup. (all recipes I used below)

Yup, that was all I did today. It took me all day to make. I did earn 14 points, so I think it was worth it! Now I'm dead beat. Good night!
