High School Journal #3

Today was a weird day. I woke up to rain pouring down. It poured until Mom got done milking, then slowed to a drizzle. I milked in comfort without much noise above my head! It started raining again just as I headed into the house, chores finished. It rained part of the morning, then let up about 10-11 o'clock, and we had blues sky and a roaring wind (that completely dried the grass) until 4-5ish. Then it clouded over and, last I knew, it was drizzling again! Weird weather.

Other than weather, I got a lot of my school done. (Well, maybe I should say, almost all done; I only have one thing that I haven't done!)

First thing this morning I posted yesterday's school journal on my blog, then proceeded onto other things. Since I have to use the computer in between the boys' use, I have to fit my schedule around that. It took me most of the morning to write my "Job Description", but i guess part of that time was spent playing on the computer (naughty me!).

So, what I did for FAR (excluding reading):

  1. Started memorizing Proverbs 31:10-31 (worked on vs. 10)
  2. Studied Purim a little, found it to be quite a wonderful Jewish holiday! (NOT because Queen Esther is a main character, but because of the way God worked it all out for good. I guess it is sorta neat, though, that Esther is the main character... :))
  3. Wrote a "Motherhood" Job Description
  4. Made a collage of a Mother's different jobs

Reading for learning:
  1. Bible, Leviticus 12-14, Matthew 17, and Galatians 1.
  2. A couple pages of Beautiful Girlhood
  3. 4 pages of Antiquities of the Jews, by Josephus

Life Skills:
  1. Froze a batch of quartered apricots, for smoothies, ice cream, etc.
  2. Milked (which I do twice a day, every day)
