I got everything on my list done for school today (including the science I didn't get done yesterday) except for a couple pages of reading. It is such a good feeling to know you're caught up!☺
What I did for FAR today:
- Recited Proverbs 31:10
- Wrote Mom's resume
- Researched how ore is made into metal, wrote a short essay about it.
Reading:
- Bible (Leviticus 15-17, Matthew 18, Galatians 2)
- Beautiful Girlhood
- Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews
Life Skills:
- Made an apricot crisp (recipe below)

APRICOT CRISP RECIPE:
Fill a 9x14 pan full of halved apricots (not heaped). Mix together: 1 c. oatmeal (or flour), 1/2 c. sugar, and 1/4 c. butter or other fat (such as lard). If you want to put some cinnamon in, you could do that, too. Sprinkle over top, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 min.-1 hour. You could serve with milk or cream. YUM!

After looking over today's journal, it's a lot the same as yesterday's! ☺ Oh, well. We had a good peaceful day in the house together. After lunch, Mom read to us while I washed apricots, and the boys pitted and packed in jars for canning. Mom also made a batch of apricot jam--yum! We've made about five batches so far.
Well, I should go to bet. Its late!
