My brothers were pretty busy in January. The littlest (Nathan, or Nate) spent most of his time trying to be a “big” boy between the times when he badly needed Mommy. Several boys had projects going. And most of all, we were just waiting—waiting until we could finally move into the new place.
Simon shows Mom (out of the picture) how his tandem bike will work.
Nate and Joe spent some time one evening reading. Joe had to show me what he was reading! :)
Soon, however, big brother started looking at his book more closely, and little brother tried to copy him as well as possible.
Joe decided to show me his book again, and Nate watched closely so he could do the same.
A different day. We spent several days shelling out peas, and one day Nate managed to fall asleep on Mom this way!
Baby brother, trying to be like everyone else again! He was fascinated by the little blocks, and seized the chance to play when he had it.
One day, Mom wasn’t feeling well, and Joe was bored. So Nathan got bored, too!
For the most part, those two play together nicely.
And one day, while Mom was trying to package chickens, Nate climbed her back…poor fellow; you’d think he doesn’t get much attention or something! :)
More coming soon. (I hope!)

I really love the picture of your mom shelling peas, reading, and holding a sleeping baby at the same time. Talk about multitasking! That's just a great picture!
ReplyDeleteI know. :) She does particularly good at that.
