As a family, we don't go all out and celebrate Christmas. We don't do gifts, we just enjoy being together! This Christmas, Dad and Mum decided to take us to the ocean. Lots of people here in New Zealand go to the beach and have a barbecue ("barbie") on Christmas day, so we decided to go out, too! Except we didn't take our barbecue.
We decided to spend the day at Nape Nape beach (pronounced "napy-nap"). We had heard that it was a beautiful place, and we had never been there before. So...being the usual curious people my family is, we decided to spend the day there!
I took 262 photos all together (once you see the pictures you'll agree I had a reason too! ), and won the Christmas Photo Challenge one of my friends did. I'm slowly figuring out what I'm going to do with the prize--it's a pair of birds, called "Mr. and Mrs. Chirp". They're well made, and very pretty, too. I think I've figured out who I'm going to give them too. But I can't say, or else it would spoil the surprise if I actually do it. Oh--and don't worry about the amount of pictures in the videos--I'm only sharing 190.
Okay, so here you go:
I'll share the video we took of those waves, too:
So-long, then! I'll come back tomorrow with Part 2.
