Yesterday, we took a short trip to the ocean (we were there in total about an hour). I didn't have enough time, though, to get the pictures up last night, so had to finish this morning! Enjoy!
This morning, Nate crawled his way under the couch. He
wasn't very happy about the situation, though. |
| On the way! |
Notice the pond up on the right? It's a result of all the rain
we've had--most of the time, it isn't there. |
| Some of the hills were hazy...beautiful! |
| The ocean is just a step away! |
| Ahh...first glance. BEAUTIFUL Pacific! |
| The boys beginning to explore (James and Simon at lead). |
| Looking south. Beautiful! The haze made it all the more pretty. |
| The "Adventurers" |
| A sea squirt |
| A pool of fresh water (from the rain) in a charred log that was washed up. |
| A beautiful, cluttered beach. |
| Elijah and Seth |
| Elijah |
Mum and Joe (Joe had to wear my extra jersey
because he had forgotten his!) |
| Elijah |
| James |
| Joe |
| Back the path |
And then a shout arose...."I SEE A SEAL!!!" (don't worry;
it was dead and must have washed up) |
| Reaching for the skies... Reaching for Jesus. |
| The net was a great attraction. |
| Joe |
| Joe |
| Trying to find our balance... |
| There! Almost perfect! |
| Seth and Joe |
| James |
| Simon |
| Seth |
| Ahh....at the top! (l-r: Elijah, Seth and Simon) |
| Simon |
| Joe--don't you love his look? |
| Nate--CUTE!!!! |
| James |
On our way home, we went through the Domain, where all the daffodils
are out! |
| Beautiful hills! |
| I love cloud formations!!! |
And then, just at sunset...
| Joe enjoys jumping on the trampoline. |
Abigail: WOW Esther that is a lot of pictures!!!!!!! Good job!!!!!!!Me and Mom went to a ladies retreat at our church the past few days. It was GREAT. The ocean must be so much fun! We just got back from the beach.
ReplyDeleteYes, usually when I get the camera out to take pictures I end up with a lot. I don't know why!
ReplyDeleteOh, the ocean is fun! At all times, but especially when there isn't a very cold wind (which there is most of the time).

Does my blog look different?
ReplyDeleteYup. The background is different--it's a dark grey or black solid colour. You can actually read the header now!

GREAT! *refering to being really sarcastic here* didn't think it'd work anyway, oh well I guess now I can muck about with it as much as I like..
ReplyDeleteOh Abigail, I hope you get this, your ladies retreat sounds great, are you going to post about it?Oh and if you change your commenting to a pop up window, I can comment there is something very strange with my computer, it's spoilt and won't do what its told, not that we spoil it, it just likes throwing tantrums, to our up most pleasure :p
ReplyDeleteWhat were you trying to do to the background?
ReplyDeleteAlright, maybe I shouldn't answer for Abigail--but she can't post on her blog! GRR!
~Esther
Fun to see all the pictures! I'm glad you showed a sea squirt--I'd never heard of that before. That big net at the playground is fairly cool, too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I've been wondering why there was nothing new on her blog.
ReplyDeleteAbigail: hey Tiff I CAN"T post right now. I am despretly trying to solve the problem. SOOOOOO sorry and as soon as I can post I will. THere are so many great things going on right now!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEsther said.I know what its like, our computer doesn't believe in behaving, much to our extreme displeasure.
