(well, more like what’s happened today)

Last night, we were privileged to put Ryan Craig up for the night. He’s walking the length of New Zealand pulling a cross. This is his fourth time doing it, and while we’ve seen him once before it was nice to actually meet him.

Just before taking off this morning, we got a picture of Ryan and the boys together. My brothers loved having someone new to show around the place! He’s heading on north, hoping to get to the place on the North Island where the first missionaries landed by Christmas day. The first missionaries to New Zealand landed on or very close to Christmas day exactly 200 years ago this year, and there is some kind of church gathering going on up there this year. He’s hoping to be there by then.

Later, I made a chain counting down to when we go to pick Grandma up from the airport. We can’t wait! Joe likes the visual reminder.

Exactly twenty-six days left.

I’ve been hard at work editing today. Finally got the fourth draft done enough to do the second full print. I did the first full print before I started editing the second draft, so it’s been a while and there are a lot of things that have changed since then! Now, hopefully, I can get through it in the next two days. I just measured the stack of paper and it’s 3/8 in. or 10 mm thick—it might take me a bit. But I’ll get there!
