About six months ago, Matthew Sampson—a family friend—contacted me and asked if I’d like to have a free line edit done on my book, in exchange for writing a review of his work. Yes, please! My book needed a lot of help, as it turned out, and I’m very thankful for the time and effort he took in making it shine.
Just recently, he contacted me and told me that he has now launched his business, Red Pendragon.
Here’s the short review I wrote about his work:
Matthew Sampson edits with style, and the content he delivers is what you’d expect from a professional. Beyond sentence structure and grammatical fixes, he suggests simple changes that will make your work sparkle. His approach is logical and hard, but kind too, and if something doesn’t feel right, he’ll be sure to tell you. Overall, I highly recommend Matthew. I was very impressed with the quality and speed he demonstrated, and hope to work with him again in the future.
Matthew looks for a lot of things while he works:
- Typos
- Misspellings
- Transposed words and letters
- Grammar slip-ups
- Inconsistencies
- Redundancies
- Repeated words and phrases
- Awkward wording
- and much more!
If you have a book that needs edited, check out Matthew’s site, and see if you can get him to help you with it. You won’t be disappointed.
