This month, I’m participating in King’s Blooming Rose’s GiveThanks! x7 challenge—writing down seven things I’m thankful for each day through the month of November. I participated last year, and am excited to do it again this year, too!
My Thankful List, for day 1:
- Warm, sunny weather after the not-so-nice weather last week
- My Mom, who is always encouraging
- The ability to praise my Creator
- Having a camera, so I can capture pictures of my brothers while we’re still growing up together
- God’s Word, which is new every day (and encouraging, as well)
- Good books that take me to new places and introduce me to new people
- The gift of being able to write for HIS glory
- Deuteronomy 31:8: “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” That was so encouraging today!
One of the first roses of the season on the bush around one side of my verandah.
My Thankful List, for day 2:
- For the song "All Creatures of Our God and King". And all other songs, for that matter. I love praising our KING!
- Beautiful, sunny, warm Sundays.
- Friends to fellowship with.
- Encouraging, inspiring messages--the kind that make you squirm a bit to hear because you know they're so true and you also know you don't measure up.
- Songbirds.
- Wholesome food (like homegrown chicken).
- Coffee.
I love roses! And all flowers, as an extension. :) And I love praising the KING as well!
–Esther
P.S. Did you see my most recent post on Jewels of Jesus? If not, you can read it here. It’s hard to say goodbye there, but I know the Lord is leading, and I’m thankful for that.
