The Thief (Video)

This video is something we came up with after reading Proverbs 10:28. Sadly, it doesn’t very accurately display the meaning of the verse, though. It was fun to make, anyway! I had forgotten how much I love acting. And it helps when I have brothers who are enthused about acting as well.

I've recently found a neat website called “Free Music Archive”. They’ve got lots of music there, but one of the features I really like is their “Music for Video” page. There, you can search the mood you want (eerie, happy, peaceful, rowdy, etc.), the genre, whether instrumental only or not, duration, license (public domain, attribution only, commercial, non-commercial, etc.), and more. It looks like this will be a good resource to have—whether having music for a video or music for writing a particular scene.

You can pre-hear all the tracks on there before downloading, and you just need to read the license with it to figure out what type of attribution to use. It’s pretty simple. I used music from this website in the above video, and the attribution they say to use with the track I used was very simple.

This is the track I used for this video (I think you can embed most if not all of the music there):

And the attribution to go with this particular one is:

Very simple. To get the attribution, I just clicked on the Creative Commons (CC) picture on the right sidebar.

So there—you’ve got a little introduction to FMA! :) Hopefully you’ll find this useful, like I think it will be to me!

  1. Thanks Esther! I really enjoyed that video. I love acting too-brings back memories of the videos me and my sister used to make together!

    1. I didn't know you two made videos! Did you ever make any good ones? I'd love to see them sometime, if possible!

  2. Cool! Keep making videos--that's a great experience. And I love the music. Thanks for the website--I've been looking for something like that.
