To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.
Okay, onto today's GreaThing:
Great memories and moments you're thankful for this year.
- Our recent family walk at Oaro, where we found train cars and other interesting things. Wonderful memories! (my Mum posted about it, but I have LOTS of other pictures I could share--do you want me to share those, or are you content with the ones she shared? Comment, and tell me! I may end up doing a post about it anyway, if enough people are interested.)
- Rocking the baby when he was crying just a few days after he was born, and realizing that he has fallen asleep. ♥
- Playing with my goats
- Smelling the rose we have outside at the moment, and remembering that there is something in the Bible about the rose of Sharon.
- The setting sun light lighting up the sky into a purple mass, with gold-rimmed edges. ♥
- Reading Romans through, and being amazed at the simplicity of salvation.
- Bouncing a baby on the trampoline, and loving his high-pitched giggles. ♥

What a beautiful moments, you have chosen to to write on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI love it. And I see you in my thoughts. Precious blog.

I REALLY DON'T want to be rude... But did you know that hearts are a symbol of abortion? Therefore a symbol of murder....
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the name of the plant... But in (Roman?) times, they used a plant to cause abortion, And it's seed was heart shaped!
They even have a record of coins from that time period, that had the heart shaped plant seed on it....
We had a VERY interesting sermon at Church about that (how I learned about it)!
I'm trying very hard not to sound rude or pushy! :D
God Bless

You're not being rude, Sayna! :D I've never heard about that before. Very interesting! I'll change it. :D

ReplyDeleteEsther, Thank you so much for sharing! I was blessed! Keep shining!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrea!
ReplyDelete@Sayna--I've been thinking on it, and looked up the heart symbol on Wikipedia. (goo.gl/0Ofl0) It mentioned that the seed of the silphium plant was just suggested as the source of the heart symbol, but that was all that there was for the subject. I talked to Mum about it, and she said that it's okay to use the symbol. So I changed it back. I hope you understand all that! :D

What precious memories. :) I'm glad you are sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes of course I understand. :D It was just an interesting fact to share. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you don't take offense, Sayna. For most of the world, I don't think it reminds them of that fact. :-\ Not a very nice one to think of, anyway.
